I've had 2, 10 years apart & they both said the same thing, cirrhosis but the first one was mild & the more recent one was decompensated or ESLD (end stage liver disease) all I can say is ask your doctor about a biopsy so you know exactly where you stand.

I am ESLD too, I think the last one said 4 out of six. I know it is very bad, I have not had a lot of brain fog, but I don't sleep too good. I had that one ammonia espoused and it was scary. The one thing it did was let me know what to watch for. I take this new pill Rifaxmin, something like that and that keeps me clean out just not as explosive as Lacudose, the made a mistake and gave me both for got to tell me to stop lacudose and boy did I have a miserable weekend. When My ammonia was high, and I could not speak a sentence that anyone understood. My meld went up to 20, and now I am 16. for now. I get a MRI Tuesday and if that shows anything they will up my score. Or if my blood test then, bilirubin is elevated more than it was last time that is one thing that gets your score higher. I have been itching like crazy. My RBC and WBC are both low, but they have been for a while. when you look at my blood test not too, many are normal range. Either High or Low. Thanks for writhing back. Hugs, Glenda
