No, we've never used the autoinjector. This is the first time we've had such a

problem in 3 years. I wonder if they may be defective.

try using the autoinjector & it may make a difference in the way the needle

goes in. we have never had a problem with the needles using it. It is made

by the same company. I think it is called a sofserter or something like

that. Search for Minimed needle sets and it should pop up.;

We had a tough time with inserting the sof-set needles on our first

shot - wouldn't go in all the way - which was TERRIBLE --- the next

week we used the auto-injector and it worked like a charm - neither

child cried even a tear!

Poor DD had to be poked multiple times resulting in bleeding and

tears. I've had to dig out some old sets we keep as backups and they

went in easily. On Monday, I'll call the company and our provider.

I was just talking with mini med regarding my husband getting a new diabetic

pump....and we have been seeing some more site issues with ....Just

complains more at the sites at time of pinch, and then throughout the infusion.

It's harder to pull the needle out. As far as they said, they haven't had any

calls, but since I get my supplies from another company, I need to go through

them.....I'll try to call my home care company on Monday...I'll look at the

supplies and get the lot numbers...maybe it's the lot that we are using...

I've noticed the same things as you with . Noelle hurt more and

complained even when I pulled the needle out (never has before). Here is the

lot number that we have; #20004380. Maybe we do have a " defective " batch. Let

me know if you have the sme Lot. I'll post what I find out from my provider in

the morning.

Thanks,

Sara

Sara,

I just got up... Working nights is not fun.

The lot number we had is 20003835, so we don't have the same lot number. I'm

off until the 2nd. Will know if Warren has surgery on his eye on the 2nd pretty

soon. He's at the retina specialist now. (Warren, my hubby is diabetic and has

retinopathy. He had a spot that they were watching and it ruptured on Christmas

Eve). I'll try to call my company on Wednesday and maybe go from there. I can

talk to the nurse from there as well. I just was thinking that it was my

technique, or the fact that he's lost weight.

Hope you have a Happy New year...We're laying low as all have colds, etc.

isn't on antibiotics yet...but probably will be by the end of the week. We are

awaiting approvla to go to MPLS again to see our heme and also need to be

evaluated by neurology for neurofibromatosis due to the number of cafe au lait

spots he has. I was hoping to not start out the year with huge medical bills in

the first month...but I guess that isn't going to happen.

mom to ...Nemo deficiency...unsure of clinical significance...awaiting

further testing.

igh CAPD, ADHD, sensory integration....etc

Libby 13 going on 13.

Kaitlyn 16....teen angst.
