The lady at the coop told me that oolong is a very popular one for making kombucha, somewhat in between black and green tea. And, I imagine it would have less caffeine too. Oolong costs $22/lb at the coop and at mountain rose herbs its $16/lb. There are other teas I can get and end up spending much less, maybe even $10/lb or something. And then once I enrol in a college (soon, hopefully), I'll save 10%. Soooo, what do you use for making kombucha and have any of you found one tea to be better than another?
