Guest guest
Hey, I am a 24 year old male looking into neurofeedback and biofeedback. My interests are using it to enhance my own, my family and friends creativity and cognitive abilities and just general interest and research. I tend to be a high stress individual and have the learning disabilities dyslexia and Mixed receptive-expressive language disorder and I am looking into seeing if I can treat them. I have done some research on this technology through the powerful medium of Google search. One of the most intriguing things I have found is the Biocybernaut Institute. They claim to help with stress, creativity, IQ and a myriad of self enhancing cognitive benefits. One day I would like to run a company and being calm, cool and creative would be great for getting work done. I am the kind of person that likes to do research before making purchases and I have not yet delved deep enough into EEG technology to feel comfortable with buying a machine and investing 100+ hours (However I have ordered an HEM NIR Headset as a starting point ). I was wondering what kind of EEG and software would I need to use to do the neurofeedback that is similar to the Biocybernaut Institute to enhance creativity, relaxation and IQ? I am interested but not $15k interested unless I can replicate the benefit... and even so its 15k. My petty research: It seems as though they use an 8 channel EEG where 4 channels are actively reading. I remember reading about sites: (O1, O2, C3, C4, T3, T4, F3, F4.) I do not know enough about monopolar vs bipolar electrodes to understand what kind of machine they need to be used with. Do any of the TLC Designs or Itallis Designs have similar benefits for creativity (which I'm most interested in)? Thanks
