Guest guest
I just use them until they are silver. There is a brief period where there appear to be both metals, but I haven't seen a problem with signals. One time I've had a signal that was very bad in one channel and nothing fixed it (on an out-of-town assessment, of course), and I finally thought of the neurotrodes, changed to new ones, and the signal cleaned up beautifully. My comment about bimetallic electrodes was related to silver/silver-chloride cup electrodes, where the chipping off of the Ag/Ag-Cl can occur over a long period.I usually do change my neurotrodes after 20 sessions or so--if I remember to keep track. How long can you use them once they are completely down to the silver? Is there some type of cleaner that can be used to take the silver chloride off?
