Guest guest
My son has been unable to get his home infusion because our nurse moved out of state & the infusion company couldn't find a new nurse for him until just now. He has been on IVIG for a year and he is 3 weeks overdue which means he last had an infusion 6 weeks ago today. He was about to get it today but the blood pressure cuff wasn't working (unbelievable I know). The local medical supply company is out of stock, so we ordered it for next week. The nurse is working at the hospital every day until next Wednesday. If he receives it then, it will have been 7 weeks since his last one. I remember hearing something about the chances of a reaction being greater after 8 weeks & more caution should be taken when it is given. What type of caution other than the normal procedure is there? We never do benedryl because my son reacts to it. If you have experience with this, please let me know. - --------------------------------- Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect. Join 's user panel and lay it on us.
