what if a gallon jar nearing 12th day is thick like syrup??

Hi, I'm new to the group. So excited to have communication regarding kombucha.

Have been brewing for 3 months in gallon jars, and today I started my first CB

attempt. Has anyone experienced a slimy, thick, syrup-like brew?? Is this bad.

Didn't have much 'kombucha' taste. Would have been on the cooler side, (67ish)

as we had a cold spell in the midwest and I haven't mastered a hot spot for the

winter months.
