Thanks, everyone, for your thoughtful replies to my question about requesting

placement in a private school. Not the answers I wanted, but what I kind of

expected. My husband and I have been discussing how we might be able to make the

in-school placements work best for her. We have been generally happy with the

school district and truly believe they have L's best interests at heart, so we

should be able to find a reasonable compromise.
