Guest guest
Cindee Hope this helps. We were similar start weights so maybe will have same results. Kristy 1. Pain wise? Worse or better than DS? Lasts longer or ends faster? Much better than the DS! Back at work and happy within a week! 2. Stitches? What to expect? I have hundreds of stiches between the belly and arms. 3. Walking, bending, standing, driving? How soon and how painful? Driving about 5 days out. Walking 2 hours after surgery..all other movement ok on the next day. 4. Size of incision and scars? Bigger than DS. Hip to Hip and around the relocated belly button. 5. Swelling? How much can I expect and how long does it usually last? My incision site swelled to the size of a football due to seroma. But pretty flat onced drained. I expect to be 'concave' in a month or two. 6. ANY info I need to know...anything you all recommend to make recovery easier, more comfortable, and less painful? Periods start suddenly as per DS. 7. Recovery time? How long was it before you were able to go back to a semi-normal life? Back to work within 7 days. 8. After surgery necessities? (Marta, what size tummy girdles did you get? I am 142 right now and in a size 10, so I should be able to wear the same size you got, and what brand? I like simple soft but supportive, up to the boobs and down the thighs!) No girdles or binders for me! Only strapping tape. 9. Anything I should have ready at home, bandages, tape, Depends, Kotex, what worked best for you? (will this surgery set off my period like the ds did?) As above 10. Were you able to sleep lying down or can I count on sleeping in my recliner for a while? On back for the first 2 days..then slowly on side. Can sleep on side now no problems. On stomach is too uncomfortable. 11. Sex, how soon....er....never mind.....don't answer that one!! Wouldnt have a clue..
