I am planning on attending the Research Forum in April, (The conference is is the renamed North American Treatment Action Group, and information can be found at http://www.hivresearchcatalystforum.org/), and I plan to try and help to revitalize the HIV response in San Francisco. As I am sure you are aware in the last round of CA Budget Cuts HIV services were a big loser! I was surprised their were no organized protests or response. Even now in back room talks in Sacramento deep cuts to the ADAP program are being discussed!

I have started a Meetup Group group at http://www.meetup.com/ and am scheduling a Town Hall meeting at the end of the month. I would love to have you attend, and help spread the word about this meeting / group! I am hoping to carry with me concerns and issues that we would like to addressed, and an overview of the needs of the Greater Bay Area Community in regards to HIV Treatments and Preventions!

I am planning on returning from Baltimore with lot of new ideas on how to organize. I am hoping to be able to count on your voice as me try to help HIV services recover from the drastic budget cuts, and remind Sacramento that we are a voice to be heard!
