Guest guest
Hi, My 11 year old son has been getting treatment for OCD for about 2 months now. His biggest problem was washing his hands, and always asking if they needed washing. He told the doctor this week he's doing better because he's not asking that much any more. He isn't, but instead of that he's constantly running to the bathroom thinking he has to go, or insisting he just went in his clothes. It was actually easier before with the handwashing, I could always get him to go somewhere since he knew he'd get dirty outside and could wash later. Now, we can't get out the house, he wants to stay in the bathroom all the time. I'm thinking he hasn't improved, he's just switched concerns. The doctor raised his dose of Lexapro anyway. Anyone have any experience with this? Is he really getting better? Thanks,
