Guest guest
About only 2 1/2 weeks ago, Peyton(23mos) had some crackles in his chest. That basically means its the start of a bronchitis or pneumonia (which he has a history of). After a dose of antibiotics and a few days of Neubulizing treatments, it cleared up. Now for the past few days, he has had minor crackling in his chest again. I am in a quandry whether to call his doctor tomorrow or wait until his 2-year check-up on Thursday. If he needs antibiotics again, then this will be about the 4th or 5th time this year he's taken them. This is so frustrating! Life with the boys seems to be normal, which is great, and then these long illnesses occur. Is it true that if a child is given antibiotics too often, that it can cause some type of permanent damage? Just needed to vent with you all who understand these issues. Sange, Holly 6yo-healthy; Randy 5yo-low IgG levels, no pneumonia antibodies; Peyton 23mos-low IgG levels, only some pneumonia anitbodies//still monitor, watch & wait for diagnosis for both boys
