Guest guest
Could it be a reaction to the Whey? Try a soy based protien powder instead. Guest guest
, there are all kinds of alternatives out there, Twinlabs makes a meal replacement shake, Optimum Nutrition makes a meal replacement shake, plus a bunch of others, seems like everyone is getting on Bill's band wagon since the BFL program is such a success. Are you offically entering in the challenge, if you are you have to use EAS products, I would suggest trying the bars made by EAS, if you aren't offically entering the challenge but you are doing the twelve week program, you could try any of the other products mentioned above. I have tried Fuel Plex by twinlabs, product is good for you but the taste leaves something to be desired, I use optimum Nutritions Opti-Pro Meal double rich choclate and that is about the best tasting meal replacement shake I have had. Hope this helps you some bill > > I seem to be having an allergic reaction to Myoplex. > Two servings a day caused red splotches on my face. > I then cut back to one serving a day and have intestinal irritation. > Is there something else I should try? > > Thanks > > -
Guest guest
, as a side note, if you are allergic to the aspartame, then twinlabs fuel plex might be for you it contains no added sugars or aspartame. bill > > I seem to be having an allergic reaction to Myoplex. > Two servings a day caused red splotches on my face. > I then cut back to one serving a day and have intestinal irritation. > Is there something else I should try? > > Thanks > > -
Guest guest
In case anyone hasn't said this yet, if you are that allergic to something in the Myoplex, you need to find out what it is. As you get repeatedly exposed to an allergen you can become more sensitive to it. So unless you know exactly what it is, you can't avoid it and can get yourself increasingly sick. You need to see an allergist, if you haven't already. I am allergic to chocolate and have intestinal symptoms similar to what you described, only more intense. So of course, most of the energy bars and shakes out there are verboten for me. All this serves to prove is that it may not be the aspartame and you cannot know what it really is without being tested by an allergist. Guest guest
Have you tried a different flavor? I always use the chocolate and vanilla. I was allergic to the strawberry flavor. Guess it was the strawberries/strawberry flavoring & not the myoplex. Debbie
