Guest guest
Hello MArge, Yes, I was on the KT list years ago....I had even gotten a culture from you many years ago.....Somewhere in the recesses of my papers I believe I still have our address....at least what it was maybe 10 years ago...;-).... Thankfully I have been doing well...I have had multiple surgeries....amongst them having four levels of my neck fused in 2003, both heel cords have been cut , debrided and reattached, and three joints fused in the arch of my left foot. The simplest ones were having Carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and then a month later I had an ulnar nerve release on the left elbow....Both extremely successful surgeries, but I ended up getting a staff infection in the Ulnar surgical site which of course went systemic/full body.....I ended up out of work for over four months on home inter-venous antibiotics..... Thankfully as I say, they were very successful surgeries.....!!!! The main thing is I am doing well, and continue my work in the hospital as an acute care Occupational therapist on an orthopedic/Spinal surgical unit... I had unfortunately put my beloved Kombucha to the side. What with being discouraged with my various surgeries and also a pretty poor reception from my family/wife regarding Kombucha. But then again, in retrospect, I did get carried away with it....At one time I had 8 + different cultures that I was brewing with, yours included....!!! I remember yours as being relatively mild with good flavor and slow on the brewing cycle...I doubt if I gave it time to show any effect on my hair, though I definitely can imagine that it has had the effect of enhancing yours and your son's hair...KT can do some powerful things!!!! When I recently decided to start back with brewing Kombucha, I could not find anyone in the Saginaw/Flint area on Guenther 's list.... Well, being that I was going to be visiting my daughter in the Big Apple/ MNew York at the end of July, I did pick one up from a man by the name of Noah in Brooklyn.....The KT with the Colony tasted great, ut for some reason the culture was extremely slow at getting started. I decided to try starting a culture from a bottle of store bought Kombucha.......It took a while also, but it is a great Kulture....and My Noah Kulture is quite healthy now also I'll get going as this note is getting a bit long....Take care and you have a great day!!!!
