Guest guest
Hi -- I tried it--I think it was working, but found it irritated the tender mucosa (granted, I was having a lot of problems then, and was healing from surgery) Some people tolerate it fine, and others don't. It can be a little messy, but better than cancer. My doc periodically used podyphillin (a weak acid) on the entire area to burn off the top layer (including presumably any dysplastic cells) and that worked well, with only minor discomfort for a day afterwards, and no daily messy creams. And couldn't agree more with Phil for singing the praises of Beth Stier--she is one of the top HPV researchers on the AIDS Malignancy Consortium, and an extremely compassionate doctor. You're lucky to live in Boston. Jeff
