connection pendant eeg usb with Bioexplorer

dear Pete, dear Group-members

I have no success installing my pendant eeg usb unit with my new laptop (windows

7). I habe no Idea if the driver is already installed (according to the manual

instructions), the fact is, that the unit does not connect on any COM-port I

select.

With my old Windows XP PC there was no problem, is there some help from anybody?

marie,You don't select the COM port; Windows does.  If you plug in the Pendant USB cable, windows should recognize that it has been plugged in and process it.Start by downloading the driver from pocket-neurobics.com.  Click the Driver tab and click the Self-Extracting File link to download to your computer.  

When you have downloaded the pnWirelessDongleDriver file, RIGHT-click it and choose Run as Administrator.  That will install the driver software.Plug in the USB cable and Windows should start installing.  It may tell you the device was not properly installed, and you will be able to tell it to reinstall as recommended (if you are connected to the internet.)

The Pendant will be installed.  You can find the COM port Windows has assigned by looking in Device Manager in the area for Ports.Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...

thank you Pete, my mistake was, that I forgot to allow Windows to download and

install the driver by itself, now it works fine!
