Guest guest
I've been making kombucha for several months now, and haven't had any weird problems until today. I have a gallon batch that's been brewing for 7 days and it has seperated. There are two distinct layers or liquid. One of them is a cloudy white layer and the rest looks like clear green tea. I have been brewing my one gallon batches with 20 regular size tea bags, and 1 cup of sugar. I give them 10 days to ferment, because I have found I like the taste best at this point. Any ideas why it would seperate like this? I did everything the same as I always do. Anyone seen this before? Here is a link to a picture of what I'm talking about. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/voliza/100_0139.jpg
