Guest guest
, I think after I've done Tae-Bo for a year, I'll go back to brutal kickboxing! I liked it it was just too advanced for me. In your class, when you stop and drink or take a rest, does the instructor yell at you? I was just curious. We would get yelled at for ANYTHING if we stopped. It was kind of funny. He would tell us to breathe when we left.*lol* Judie --- Ferron <srferron@...> wrote: > > > > > I took a kickboxing class for about 3 months. > > > After seeing Tae-Bo, I realize the class wasn't > too > > > safe. I think I might have to yell right back at the instructor if he wouldn't let me stop and get water.....that's just downright dangerous! The whole point is to push yourself, not kill yourself! always stresses going at your own pace and getting water and if you have to walk it out to go ahead and do it, just make sure you walk strong! There's a right way to push someone and a wrong way to push someone and that instructor obviously needs a few pointers!
Guest guest
, Thanks for the input. I guess I was doubting my insticts about this class just thinking that maybe I was some whinning baby or something. I felt like I was working hard and I feel like I'm working hard now with Tae-Bo, it's just alot nicer!*lol* Mr. " B " is so nice on the tapes and he manages to push & encourage you without baggering you like an army sargent. I think, down the line, with more practice, if I decide to take another kickboxing class, I'll search out a new teach. One other thing that always stuck me as strange. This instructor had a GUT on him! I was thinking, " If this workout is so good, what's with your stomach dude? " I'm so thankful for Tae-Bo & this group!!! I've been really dismayed regarding my body and I feel like there's hope again. I also feel I've got a little mental & spritual work to do with the whole body image topic. I tend to place too much importance on my weight. Thanks again, sorry to ramble... You'll find yourself focusing on your spirit and your will and how strong and confident you feel on the inside as a result of working the two of those things. Once you make that connection and all three of those things are working together, you'll be amazed at how fast things start happening. The most important changes for me have occurred on the inside and are not visible to the naked eye. But, I am more confident in who I am as a person and I have an inner peace that I never had before. I notice the things I like about myself now, rather than the things that I still need to improve.....when I used to look in the mirror and only see everything that I hated. One thing I do is really listen to when he's talking (like at the end of the tape) or whenever he starts preaching. I hear something new almost every time I do a workout and it really helps me stay focused! Good luck on your journey! You're right, this is a great group and each and every person adds something unique and special to it!

Guest guest
Judie, LOL...no, no one yelled at us. Good thing too, cause I lot of people would be dropping like flies if they did! ;-) F > > > > I took a kickboxing class for about 3 months. > > > > After seeing Tae-Bo, I realize the class wasn't > > too > > > > safe.
