At first I thought there was jaw tension clouding the trace but the fast activity was only on one side and instruction to relax the jaw brought no change.  In the EO condition the beta disappeared.  EC 2 there it was again.  The EC1 and EC2 data replicate very closely.  What am I looking at here?  I should say that this subject did not come for any training but was willing to be a subject in the data pool I am collecting.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

Constance,If you verified that muscle bracing wasn't causing the high beta, then it's probably actually there in the temporal lobe.  It wouldn't be that unusual for it to show up thereI think you are saying that you see a spike when eyes are closed and it disappears with eyes open. I'm not sure what EyesClosed 1 and 2 refer to.

It's also not uncommon for high beta to spike with eyes closed.  With eyes open, the brain has greater control and more things to focus on.  With eyes closed, internal issues, or frustrated vigilance, can trigger the amygdala and appear as high-beta in the temporal.

The T3 side would more likely be an effort to control without feeling; high T4 might suggest a person who was really feeling but not controlling.Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...
