Guest guest
aspirin is used to thin the blood. It has no correlation with blood in the semen. If there is blood in the semen it comes from another source. I would get to a Urologist in order to rule out a prostate problem. I have been on coumadin (warfarin)as a blood thinner for over 2 years as I have the clotting factor due to genetics and have never had blood in the semen. Although when I cut myself I bleed heavily even from a scratch. Get to a urologist and do not blame it on the aspirin it can be something as simple as prostatitis to prostate cancer. So do not delay make the appointment yesterday. FRANK In a message dated 1/4/2010 12:40:43 P.M. Still a Very CloseFor about a year I had been on low dose aspirin for high cholesterol and triglycerides. During this time I began noticing blood in my semen. This was pretty frightening to me. Information I found online said this condition could have many causes but usually was not serious. Still, it was pretty alarming to see and it went on for several weeks. A recent PSA test was negative. On a hunch, I decided to stop the daily aspirin. In about a week, the blood in my semen stopped and I haven't noticed any for several weeks now. I guess the test would be to start the daily aspirin again and see if the bloody semen comes back, but I don't think I want to do that. Could daily aspirin have been the cause for the bloody semen?------------------------------------Welcome to our group! If you received this email from someone who forwarded it to you and would like to join this group, send a blank email to -subscribe and you will get an email with instructions to follow. You can chose to receive single emails or a daily digest (collection of emails).
