Guest guest
I agree with Mike about the problem with the shipping. I had to fight with multiple mail order pharmacies about their shipping of Norvir. I finally would have to speak with a pharmacist and explain about the need for the cold packs. Since I now only use at a booster when taking Levitra, I get it filled locally rather then deal with the issues of shipping it refrigerated. I also manage my refills and not depend upon the mail order pharmacy to do it for me. It still will take them a couple of weeks before they ship them even though the refill date has passed. I have been able to build in a cushion but sometimes come close. I have to telephone them and raise an issue because they don't ship in a timely manner. It isn't like local pharmacies that may be delayed by one business day as they don't routinely stock some HIV meds. The mail order pharmacies by definition have many more patients taking HIV meds. Plus they will ship 4 meds via UPS and then a controlled med; e.g., Lomotil or Testosterone, via the Postal Service with both packages leaving at the same time. Makes no sense especially with the the Lomotil, it weighs next to nothing. -- Philip --- Fw: NATAP: Mail-Order Pharmacies Problematic?
