I admit I always add just the slightest bit of butter and sour cream - maybe 1/10th of the amount in the individual containers. DH puts salsa on his. And I also pick the edges off the bun as I eat it so I end up eating maybe 1/2 the bun. This is our authorized " fast food " run for our non free days. Still feels like we're cheating - almost! Guest guest
Sounds good. Just do a double-meat, cut it in 1/2 and you have 2 perfectly carb/protein balanced meals. I do the same thing 2-3 times a week with the 6 " Subway club. And to think, in the old days, I'd get a double-meat 12 " steak and cheez just for lunch! BTW, through some tomatoes on for good measure on the veggie side. They have new sauces now and one of them is zero fat. I've been thinking about trying that. > Ok - I was just wondering - this weekend for 2 of my daily 6 meals I had a > SUBWAY 6inch Whole-Wheat sub with roasted chicken, green peppers, onions, > jalapenos peppers, and lettuce - mustard and salt and pepper - I am not sure > - but it seemed like an ok meal - anyone have any comments on how this fits > in to the BFL program - it was ( in my eyes) 1-protein (chicken) 1- carb > (6inch WW bread) and 1-veggie - (lettuce, peppers and onions). > > Just wondering cause I LOVE subway and would eat it every day if I could !! Guest guest
Thanks for the link, Cheryl. I am a mom of three little ones and we always meet people for lunch and play. We tend to go to McD's because of the playlands. I normally order a grilled chicken minus mayo and don't eat the bun and then a yogurt minus the crunchy stuff on top. Nice to see that my choice of a grilled chicken is on the list! :-) Cristi C1W7D1 Re: meal suggestion ... Sounds okay, but I wouldn't do it everyday. Everytime you think about sticking one in your mouth, squeeze it first and then think about all the fat that oozes out clogging your arteries and coating your stomach. Think about it as it cools and coagulates inside your system. Picture the oil oozing out the pores of your face a half hour after you eat them. Ever smell old, rancid oil? How often do you think they change the oil that they fry them in? Imagine that rancid, nasty, smelly crap clogging up your veins. Still want some? I haven't been hooked on McD's fries since they stopped using beef tallow. Guest guest
Thanks ! Always glad to be of help! I'm getting closer and am focusing on fat loss the next 4-6 weeks! Hope to finish below 10% and maintain or increase strength in the process. Weekends are my greatest challenge, and each of the last two are trending in the right direction. All the best! Guest guest
Eat half of the bread - the carbs are twice as much as the protein otherwise. I love the Roasted Chicken, too! Sara meal suggestion ...Ok - I was just wondering - this weekend for 2 of my daily 6 meals I had aSUBWAY 6inch Whole-Wheat sub with roasted chicken, green peppers, onions, jalapenos peppers, and lettuce - mustard and salt and pepper - I am not sure- but it seemed like an ok meal - anyone have any comments on how this fitsin to the BFL program - it was ( in my eyes) 1-protein (chicken) 1-carb(6inch WW bread) and 1-veggie - (lettuce, peppers and onions).Just wondering cause I LOVE subway and would eat it every day if I could !!
