Will the fermented tea leach the rubber or plastic eventually eating through

certain methods people might use to store their brew in.

I was going to use a sun tea jar with a plastic spigot, will the plastic be a

problem. And I know ceramic containers can have under glaze of lead. I don't

trust plastic containers for water those huge drum like containers. I guess

storing in mason jars is my best bet.

Without the lids screwed on-Right?

I don't know what else kind of gallon container to hold the scobie to use other

than a big pickle jar. Like from Walmart. Any alternatives people have found on

the inexpensive side of things please pass them along my way. Would like to

thank you kindly. .
