Susi,

Remember there will be weeks when you lose, weeks when you stay the

same and even weeks when you gain.....but hey, if you had to

gain....I'd say 0.4 lbs is a good gain to have :) Hey, it's not even a

whole pound, right? Keep doing what you're doing. You've been doing

an awful lot of tae-bo lately and I'd be willing to bet that you've

been gaining muscle and that might account for the slight gain! You

are doing an awesome job and you'll get there! Just try not to let

this little gain get you down! You're doing awesome :)

Thanks, ! Actually, I'm not letting it get me down. I just

figured I always report the losses, I should be consistent! LOL It

sort of keeps me accountable.

Do I detect an attitude about a 0.4 pound gain? You do realize that:

.... progress isn't guaranteed to be a straight linear progression?

....maybe it's time for SOMEONE ELSE on this list to be the weightloss queen of the week (hmmm, maybe Angie?)

.... it's probably MUSCLE gain due to doing the Sonja/ workout yesterday! (YIKES that was a tough workout!)

..... that you are talking about less than a pound, less than 1/2 of a pound and that could be due to someone moving the scale, sun spots, the drink of water you had just before you went in for your weigh-in, the elastic in your new underwear, barettes in your hair, your TOM, "heavy" thoughts......

....and most importantly, it's almost a guaranteed 0.4 pound weight loss for next week, you nut!

Your "punishment" for this display of negative attitude is to drink 2 extra glasses of water today and spend 2 minutes looking into the mirror telling yourself how beautiful and strong you are, you conqueror!

LV, who just came back from looking at the Feb tapings photos and knows you are beautiful and strong!

LOL!!! It wasn't a negative attitude, I promise!! I just figured I'd

share the good news and the other news each week.

By the way, I have to confess...I didn't finish the /Sonja workout

yesterday because I had to go to the bathroom and there was no way I

could do squat kicks and machine gun kicks without an accident! LOL

I KNEW there was something about that workout! I was dying to get to the ladies room the whole time I was in the studio! :-)

Am I the Only person who Prefers the Studio Basic?

I must admoit I get up at 6 am to do it--But It is because of the Leg

I haven't gotten that far in the program, so I am not able to give

myself bonus points for exercise yet. Sorry, I can't help you!

Janet,

I tried to find the post in which you wrote your weight, but couldn't

locate it. I vaguely recall 151 pounds...I think that was you.

That's right, Barb! I assume it's because more work is required to

create the same amount of intensity for a larger body than for a

smaller one.

Janet,

When I was doing WW...I consistently ate at the top of my range and

sometimes even went over and still continued to lose steadily. 20 pts

is the bottom of your range right? Don't you have like 20-27 pts? I

think that's the way it is here. You might need to eat towards the

upper end of your range, especially if you are using all your points

healthily and still feeling hungry. I'm not sure if it's changed since

I was doing WW, but they used to require you to do at least 20 minutes

of exercise and then for each additional 20 minutes of exercise you

did, you would get an extra point. Thus, doing an hour of tae-bo each

day would give me 2 extra points bringing my range to 20-29 pts. Like

I said, this might be different now...but that's how it was when I was

doing it. I just wanted to let you know that my experience with it was

to eat more because I still continued to lose. I know it's hard to

change your way of thinking about that...eat more to lose weight goes

against everything we have ever believed...but, sometimes it works :)

WW made some changes at the beginning of the year regarding the value

of different exercise at different intensities.

Hi ,

Here in the UK,We don't get a " Points Range "

inbetween 140 pounds and 168 pounds you are allowed 20 points a Day!

I find this Tough to adhere to,as I eat LOTS Of fruit-sometimes 6

pieces a Day--Plus !!!

WHEN I stick to 20 points,I get very Hungry-so since doing tae-bo every

day-bar Friday! I had To eat more--What with working full time as well

as Children--Bal di bla! I Just wouldn't get through the day without

Upping It!

I think I a Going to Try and Adopt The US Way of doing it--although

Points vary so to ours!

and Like you say--so long as It is Healthy--nearly always when I have

gone over it has Been With Fruit--Melon and Strawberries,Raspberries

and Oranges--In the evening--so! I don't see that Could Jepordise do

you?

anyway! Have to run--work to get to--

Thanks for the Tips.

Thanks...I figured it had changed a little bit because I was a little

confused when you were explaining it :) It probably makes more sense

the way it's done now...but I don't like the UK points system if you're

only allowed 20 pts a day! I would have died only being allowed to eat

20 pts a day!

Janet,

Yikes....only 20pts! That's tough...I am the same as you, I would have

a hard time eating that few points. I think as long as you are making

healthy choices (fruits, yogurt, healthy snacks, etc.) that you can go

over your points and still continue to lose weight. Just listen to

your body....if you are hungry than you definitely need to eat more :)

I think the UK point calculation is different than ours. Remember

www.dottisweightlosszone.com? She has a UK version of a points

calculator you can download if you are curious as to how things convert.
