What about colloidal silver? Cheer a

Chalazion

Dear group,

Wondering if someone can help me....

I have been diagnosed with a " Chalazion " . Here is a link to a

picture of somewhat what it is like:

http://elibrary.med.yale.edu/blog/?p=357

It is something inside the eye lid. The eye doctor said she can cut

the inside of the eye lid open and clean out the area, but it seems

to possibly recur in some people. And I really don't want surgery,

especially since it might recur.

She said that it is caused by many things, and is quite common. It

feels uncomfortable and I've tried some of her treatments (antibiotic

drops, prednisone drops, even some doxycycline orally).

Has anyone had one of these?

Saul said no ozonated olive oil in the eyes, so that's out.

Thanks in advance,

Carol

Hi Carol,

I've never had a chalazion, but am subject to recurring cysts on the inside of

my eyelids. They start inside but become noticeable when they push upward and I

then have a white bump sitting on top of the edge of the lower lid. It is both

unsightly and annoying.

the first time this happened I was in the Drs office with one of my children and

asked him on the way out just what it was. He said " cyst " and " see eye-surgeon

and have it cut out " .

My initial reaction to this was " when hell freezes over " !

I experimentally took some clay and put it in water till it absorbed and turned

into a paste. I used this as a poultice, packing it into one of those eye-shaped

bandages available at drugstores. I plastered this over the whole eye at

bedtime. 3 nights later, the cyst was gone.

I have to do this every few years when another one shows up.

I have lately (last winter) tried another approach when a cyst was just

beginning to form. I warmed up some colloidal silver and opened a capsule of

eyebright herb into the silver, making a 'tea'. After letting it steep for a

couple of minutes, I strained it through an unbleached coffee filter. I then

stirred about 1/4 tsp of MSM into this and used it as an eyewash in an eyecup.

With the tiny cyst and rinsing every 15 minutes, it just rolled out an hour

later.

I don't know if either of these methods would help with the chalazion, but I can

almost promise you that experimenting will do you no harm.

If I was dealing with that chalazion I would probably do both methods, rinsing

during the day, poulticing at night.

I wish you luck with it

Sharon
