I just have to say CONGRATULATIONS on such an accomplishment already.

that is great. welcome to the list. i have only been on the program for

a week now, but alread feel better and think I can see some change in my

belly muscles. WELCOME again

Hello everyone,

I have been lurking on this list for a week now, and started

following

the program last Sunday. I started out weighing 400 pounds and have

lost

down to 218.5 pounds since October 1998 to the present. I had been

following an 1800 Calorie exchange diet and walking at least 1 hour every

night around our local park. May 1, 2000 I joined the gym and started

lifting with a trainer 3 x week. I also went to the treadmill for an

hour

at a time, which is a better workout than trying to walk on a path, as it

keeps you paced. On the path you see a goose and slow down to avoid

being

bitten. hehe

I got to the point where the treadmill was no effort and I was just

short of running, which I wasn't keen on starting. So, I started using

the

stair-stepper which is much more of an effort. My trainer also started

teaching a circuit training class 2 x week in the mornings, so I added

that

to my regimen.

I started measuring my bodyfat at a local pharmacy when I started the

stair-stepping and started out with 23.2% bodyfat and as of 3 weeks ago

was

down to 21.5% and had a total fat loss of 7.2 pounds over 2 months. I go

in

Friday for my next monthly analysis.

I stumbled upon the body for life method and found it to be a very

healthy and logical way to live. I have found this group to be very

positive and informative also!! Sorry I have rattled so long. I will

be

happy to get to know you.
