Hi Sherry and Welcome to the list. My name is Amy and I don't post very

often. I started in Jan-Feb. I do tae-bo at least 4times a week. I usually

alternate with another tape. Or I walk. I haven't really lost weight well

about 10lbs all together and I am two sizes smaller now. I love it. My kids

do tae bo with me. I really need to get them the kids tape. You will get alot

of encouragement from the list. Everybody is great here. Amy F who is

thankful that I found this list

Hi Sherry!

Welcome to the group!! Wow, another Texan. I am getting very lonely over here

in North Carolina!! I am so sorry about your mom. I know what it is like to

eat out of depression. I am so glad that you are giving Tae-Bo a chance. I

know it is discouraging at times, but it does get easier. You have to just

keep trying and you will be amazed by how quickly you progress. I have been

Tae-Boing on and off for about a year and a half now. I have been Tae Boing

faithfully for the past 10 months. Over the past 2 years I have lost 78

pounds (hey guys, I am down 3!! Yippee!) About 40 of those lost came from Tae

Bo. I know right now the amount you want to lose seems totally overwhelming.

But know that you can do it. It takes time, dedication, and a whole lot of

patience. We will all be here for support! Again, welcome and I look forward

to hearing more from you.

:)

Hello Sherry Tinkerdove!

Any friend of Vivian's is a friend of ours! Thanks for sharing your story -- you sure have had some ups and downs in your life. I've been doing Tae-bo one year tomorrow (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!). A year ago in January, my friend and I decided we needed to get serious about getting healthy. She chose walking and weight watchers. I started out walking, tried some aerobics tapes, but nothing seemed to fit with me. I because a vegetarian on Valentines Day '99 and that made a big difference. In March, I was sent to Baltimore for a month for a work project. We had a few snow days where I was trapped in the hotel room and the satellite TV went out. The only thing on any of the channels was the Tae-bo infomercial--sometimes the Lord must pre-empt ALL the channels to get my attention ;-). After resisting watching it for about 2 days (I hate infomercials), I decided to watch it and get it over with. I watched it nonstop for the rest of the day, trying to imitate the moves. I went to Target when I got home and bought the original studio tapes. I've been hooked right from the start. I've lost between 35-40 pounds and a bunch of inches. I've got another 40 pounds to go (or so). I felt a big difference immediately, but it took others about 2 months to see a difference. I've had some fluctuations (with results and my motivation), but I am committed to making this work. Keep coming back here and get your motivational take filled. We look forward to hearing from you often!

Welcome, Sherry. You have come to the right place. I am glad you and

your daughter have started taebo. You will get fit doing it and it

should help relieve some of the stress in your life. The soreness means

that your body is working and adjusting to the new exercise. Do you

stretch afterwards? I'm not sure which tapes you have. Do you have the

live instructional (part of the live 4-pack) or the studio instructional

(part of the studio 4-pack)? I also can't remember if does

stretches after those tapes. Definitely do stretches after taebo

regardless. You can end your taebo session with the same stretches that

you started the session with (both instructionals have great before

taebo stretches). wants us to stretch afterwards, he just often

forgets or runs out of time and doesn't include them in the tapes. Do

you have 's book, " The Taebo Way " ? I highly recommend it. Not

only does he teach you the moves correctly, but he is very motivating in

the book.

I have been doing taebo for almost a year 6 days a week (at least 10

months of all advanced tapes). I have lost about 8 pounds (I didn't

have much to lose when I began and had exercised that much before taebo)

and my clothes are very loose, but the biggest and best changes from

taebo physically are increased stamina and strength, improved balance

and coordination, and overall body toning ( I have buff legs and arms

now) and mentally/emotionally are confidence and peace with myself. To

Hello to All!

Thanks to my new friend, Vivian, I'm here. I've been reading for

I'm brand new here. I have been posting on the message boards for

outside . So, for all the Texans, HOWDY! I'm 38 yrs old,

married, have two beautiful daughters, 12 and 3, I'm an LVN, and I'm

glad to be HERE. I've been overweight ALL my life, well, maybe not

diabetes. During that pregancy I lost weight due to analizing every

bite that went in the mouth so my baby would be ok. She was! Then 3

mos later my best friend (my mom) got sick suddenly and within 3 weeks

was gone. Well, I lost it. I know now that the good Lord gave me my

baby to help me through that time. B/C without her I prabably could

not have gone on. It all threw me into a deep depression and I started

eating again. Then when my baby was 13mos old a toddler at church

(Easter Sunday morning) picked her up and dropped her on her head. And

ever since she has had seizures. Thank goodness for the nursing

knowledge!! She is improving, the Doctors at Cooks Medical Center in

Ft. Worth are GREAT!!! I have at least 130#s to lose. I also found

out in January that I am now a diabetic. I also have had asthma and

bad allergies all my life. I also have Facet Joint Disease in my back

and get stiff very easily. My 12 yr old and I started Tae-bo (taped

off Pay-per-view) the week of spring break (3/14) and I have been sore

ever since. And I started back to work after 3 1/2 yrs Tuesday 3/28.

I work 12 hr shifts and drive back and forth (35 min) to work. I say

all this to say: PLEASE, help
