Guest guest
Grant I can relate to that feeling, I find that if I do cardio in the morning I am fine, but if I lift in the morning by noon I am exhausted! I am not sure why that happens, but I do know that I feel better when I lift after work ... Hang in there... Andra
Guest guest
I have noticed an increase in my energy level. However, on my wl days I am sleepy during the whole day. This in my case is a different type of tired than I previously experienced. Prior to BFL I was lethargic, fatigued, listless. While I'm on BFL I am energetic but sleepy. Are you sure you are not experiencing that? WL takes a lot out of a person as well as muscle growth. Those two things combined are bound to zonk anyones reserve. My guess is once your body gets accustomed to this program you will be less tired. Slowly my body is adjusting and I am less and less sleepy on my WL days. Although by Sunday (my off day for excersise) I am comatose! *LOL* But Monday morning I'm rearing to go. Guest guest
I'm a little down on the nutrition side but it's still a lot more than I'm used to and it's all good. I start work later and only have off-peak membership at the gym, so I can't start my workout until after 9am. I have: 11am Oatmeal 1:30pm Myoplex 4- 4:30pm Meal (generally a pasta or potato dish with chicken/lean beef...) 7-7:30pm - Myoplex 10pm Late meal - Whatever I fancy from the recipes page usually (eggs, pasta, chicken...) I know it's only 5, but it's all I seem able to fit in. I can't afford to take 3 Myoplex's a day (I've only just upped it to 2 this week). I drink water all day long. Cheers for any help. Guest guest
I was going to say that too. Protien is essential for your energy. You can do something as easy as making the oatmeal POWER OATMEAL. The recipie is at the BFL site. After I have that I feel GREAT! Liz > Grant you are lacking protein!!!! Guest guest
Today is w1d5 for me. I thought I was crazy when I fell asleep at 9:30 in the morning day before yesterday. It was a weight day. I had only been up since 4:30 and I was through! I woke up when the baby did and felt great the rest of the day. My son was happy! I homeschool him and he got a break! Cardio days are good though. Lots of energy and I don't get hungry as fast. I'm starving now and I only ate an hour ago. (Today is a weight day) I thought maybe it was because I haven't lifted a weight in almost four years. But by reading other responses... maybe I'm not crazy! Tina W. ===== Tina G. Guest guest
I generally get 7.5 to 8 hours each night (usually more on a Saturday night), so I'm convinced that part of my life isn't what's wrong (I know someone who gets by on about 5 hours per night, although occasionally he seems to need to catch up on a weekend by going to bed by 7:30pm!) > In a message dated 2/16/01 1:55:06 PM Eastern Standard Time, > winddancer44@y... writes: > > << WL takes a lot out of a person as well as muscle growth. Guest guest
< Eat right after weights with a high Glycemic index carb such as a bagel roll or white bread. Not whole wheat . . . > Whole wheat bread is actually higher-glycemic than white bread. So if you want high-GI *and* the health benefit of whole grains, go with whole wheat bread.
