Why else would he start to acknowlege you? As the gym's weight trainer, he's probably seen all sorts of people come in and do half baked workouts with the usual socializing. I bet after he starts seeing your results he'll ask you what program you are doing. Or maybe he already knows you're doing BFL and is looking forward to seeing how you do! Guest guest
>Tina, > this is not the best answer and since I am have only been at this two days so far, i am totally facinated by everyone around me, I watch what they are doing, how they are doing it, and what they look like..... it's entertaining to me. Esp yesterday, there was a man running on the treadmill in front of me, not an ounce of anything wiggled on him!! I was trying to picture me diong to same things... only my body bouncing around like jello....... YUCK, motivated me to get firm and loose this fat I carry around me. > silly thoughts, > Danni Thanks Danni. But when I work out in the mornings, the vast majority of people in the cardio room are ancient old farts, I'm talking about people in their 60s and 70s. Nothing the least bit amusing about watching them walk at a really slow pace on treadmills. I give them credit for getting out every day to do it, but they aren't very interesting to watch. I can usually do the 20 minutes okay, its just when I do the extra moderate cardio that I start getting bored to death. During HIIT, I'm too busy trying to ignore the agony in my knee. The last week or so, I've noticed the gym's weight trainer eyeballing me both in the cardio room and in the weight room. I'm not sure whether he's watching me because I'm funny-looking, is watching my form, wondering what the hell a heifer like me is doing in there, or what. Guest guest
>Anybody else out there have ideas?? I think Im going to do Tae- Bo for my cardio at my 4 week change....just am not entirely sure how thats going to work for HIIT, although the workout seems to be presented in intervals (on my tape) , Here's what Hussman has to say about Tae-Bo http://www.hussman.com/eas/qanda.htm#taebo Q: Hi , We are currently doing Tae-Bo for our aerobics, but I'm worried that we won't get the results we desire as quickly as we would with other methods. We do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, eating about 1 hour after completion. The workout has varying levels of intensity ranging from a 4 to a 10 and are about 20-25 minutes long. Do you have any suggestions? A: Thanks for your note. I'd really like to see you doing at least one, and possibly 2 of your cardio workouts using the specific intensity pattern in Bill's book. It's effective to challenge your lactate system, but in order to know that a 9 is a 9, you have to have a clear idea that you'll be doing it for 1 minute, and that when you're doing a 10, it's the highest level you can sustain for a full minute (without gasping, of course). I would think it's harder to do that if you don't know how long a given period of intensity will last. If you can manage to regulate that intensity so you are challenging yourself, feeling a burn near the end of your 9, getting " active recovery " after that 9, and having sufficient warmup and warmdown, then the Tae-Bo will be effective, but it just seems harder to get at all that if you're not totally in control of the activity. Hope that helps! Tina

He is probably way impressed you are still there and going SO strong. Better watch out.......... he may see your true potential....... and be interested. I would definatly not want to see a lot of old people running either, although I would probably find that intersting too. I am a people person!! Guest guest
Wow, thanks Tina!! I was wondering about that........ The thing Im concerned about is that I keep hearing people say to change your routine every 4 weeks, does this include cardio? I dont have a gym at my disposal, and I live in the middle of nowhere with a small child.....kinda tuff to shake up my cardio workout a bit, and keep the HIIT going without additional equipment.... any suggestions anyone??? I would go out and run, but on the bad weather days my daughter cant keep up, and its kinda hard for her little legs to ride her bike that far .......LOL! Presently I use a crosstrainer for my cardio.... It has a resistance setting, and a timer...... this works pretty well for me.... so far ive lost 5 scale pounds and 2.5" off my waist and about 4" all tolled, off of other parts of my body(C1W3D2).... the fat loss is there, so I guess Im doing something right..... ? I havent tested my bodyfat again yet, I have to wait for my hubby to get back in town to help with the measurements..... But I know by how my clothes fit that Im going down in %, just dont know how much So after all that long drawn out blither, what Im asking is this......should I continue on after the 4 weeks with my crosstrainer?? ~~

My guess would be that it is better to continue on with the crosstrainer rather than nothing. I think the 4 week routine is mostly for the weight training, but I could be wrong. Most of what I've read/heard is that you should change weight lifting routines every 4 weeks so your muscles don't become too familiar with an exercise and stop growing as much. I think as long as you keep pushing those 10s on cardio, you'll probably be fine, but I'm sure Kit or or someone knows better than me. I find that the attention is flattering, and the >last time that I thought that a trainer in the gym was looking at me weird >(and thinking that I looked odd) turns out he was attracted to me! Go >figure... we did date a few times before I moved, and I havent forgotten my > " misinterpretation " of his looks! >Smile back and say hi..... >Andra Hahaha, I wonder if having a fling with the cute weight trainer would motivate my husband into working out with me. LOL I seriously doubt he's interested in me though. He's probably just amazed at how I'm able to move my massive body around. heheheh Tina

Guest guest
Thanks for your input Tina! We are what we motivate ourselves to be and I bet you are a loving wonderful person who is working to get out of the body you are in right now (reference - building ourselves from the inside out...) Think positive thoughts while you do your cardio, like what you are going to reward yourself with when you complete your 12 weeks, for example. Really get to know your goal and it's reward. Daydream a little. Take a trip? Where would you go? Sunny? Summer breezes? You get the idea. Go for it, girlfriend! You are wonderful for making the effort to get " lean and mean " !!!
