i am so happy with my wooden barrel KT that i started browsing for a better

price, and also since my barrel was customized for KT (a large whole cut in the

top to give the scoby air) i needed a source to get intact barrels for vinegar

making. in just a quick search, this site has the best prices i have found so

far. yes, they are still expensive, but it does make an excellent KT. they also

sell wooden spigots, not sure how they would work on glass jars, but if i order

barrrels, i will also order one sized to fit one of my glass jars and give it a

try. has anyone else brewed KT in wood?

Hi Lena,

Lyme disease has been treated with using a preparations from the Teasel

root. I can check my herbal resources (teachers) for more info if you like.

It's not how much you accomplish in life that really counts, but how much you

give to others

It's not how high you build your dreams that makes a difference, but how high

your faith can climb

It's not how many goals you reach, but how many lives you touch

It's not who you know that matters, but who you are inside

Believe in the impossible, hold tight to the incredible,

and live each day to its fullest potential.

Here's another source of oak kegs (Panther Primitives), which you can

see on page 89 of this catalog:

http://pantherprimitives.com/catalog18/Catalog18web.pdf

Prices appear similar to the Hobby Barrels site, but they do not

use *white* oak:

1 GALLON - $98

3 GALLON - $120

5 GALLON - $130

10 GALLON - $150

15 GALLON - $200

Interesting that their keg stand costs so much more!

So , how did you get a hole " cut in the top " of your barrel?

How big is the hole? (in relation to the end)
