Unfortunately, they don't have the FPx sites in their graphs, but still informative. It's worth noting that the scalp-cortex distance tends to be high at the midline locations, and much moreso in some individuals than in others, ranging from 12 mm to 23 mm. http://www.staff.uni-marburg.de/~sommerje/poster/HBM-2003.pdf <http://www.staff.uni-marburg.de/%7Esommerje/poster/HBM-2003.pdf> I've noticed that in some people, midline measurements with NIRS result in unusually high and variable measurements (such as above 150). My guess is that they just have larger scalp-cortex distances than most others, and if you run into someone like that, you should stick to the sides. (I've said as much before; but now I have data.)
