Hi all,

I went to work with my husband today. He installs hardwood floors,

and is working at his brothers house, putting in a new floor. I had

the opportunity to help him. He taught me how to rack out a floor,

what that consists of is opening the boxes of boards, dumping them

out and then playing jigsaw puzzle cause the ends have to be at least

4 inches from one another and you don't want any H's in the floor an

H is when two sets of boards match up to be even with another set of

boards matching in between them, you want to have it look more like

stair steps or random. It was way cool I had such fun sorting

through the boards looking for the perfect fit. I said to my brother

in law that it is the perfect aspie job, things have to be just so,

for it to look right.

Just wanted to share, gotta go grab a shower Im cruddy construction

dust and saw dust all over.

I retiled the entrance hall two weeks ago. Cutting all the angles

and making everything fit was fun.
