<<I am considering home schooling, and I know they will have a fit.>>

Yeah, that can happen. It's not what they are used to and they don't

understand it. When we first started homeschooling 8 years ago, it

was not as accepted as now even. I had both sets of grandparents

thinking I was crazy. When my younger sister (who by the way is the

favored child) started homeschooling a year later, my parents were won

over. Apparently when she started doing it, it made it okay. They

also saw how well the grandkids were doing, and realized it was a good

thing for them. My in-laws are a whole different story though. To

this day they keep trying to get Josh back in school, even though he

would have to dumb down to do it at this point. They make their

comments, I just try to ignore it. I know they want what is best for

Josh. . But so do I. I'm not sure they understand what is best for

him though. Although they do know that he tests in the top 10% in the

nation every year. . . So you'd think that would ease their concerns,

but nope.

Family. . Ha! Can't live with them and you can't live withoutttt. . .

.. . . Wait! Nope, you just can't live with them. lol j/k

as to what goes on in this household day after day. They know my

children's diagnosis, but they never even ask how they are doing, nor

offer any help with them. I think they just don't like the conflict,

and don't understand any of it. The way they deal with it is to stay

away. I feel very hurt and angered by this, because if they saw what I

had to deal with for just one hour they would be blown away. I feel so

angry and hurt, but I've come to realize that only people that are

actually living with these disorders day in and day out , like all of

us, will ever truly understand.I think the only way I can survive this

is to be involved in this group and to join any local support groups I

can find.
