Guest guest
I just wanted to share some good news. . . . I've certainly shared the bad. We increased Josh's meds a week ago, up another 10 mg., and today when he woke up he just sat on his bed with our dog. He sat there for a while and of course I became concerned. Up until today he is up and on the computer playing a game IMMEDIATELY to shut out the OCD thoughts. I tried not to ask if he was okay (it reminds him to be anxious), but finally I couldn't take it anymore so broke down and asked. Turns out he was fine, just tired, taking some time to wake up while sitting and petting our dog. It's been a while since his OCD would let him sit quietly like that. Then he turned to me, cracked a joke and laughed. It's also been a while since I've seen this fun loving kid, who likes to joke and laugh. I gave him a hug and kiss and walked away with tears in my eyes for a good reason for a change. I don't know if we just had a good day or if things are just finally improving. Either way, I'm grateful for a good day. Thank you all for listening and being supportive on the bad days. BJ
