Guest guest
Just wanted to reiterate what Mark said about the sun helping folliculitis and many other HIV related skin problems. When I first started having problems 25 yrs ago my dermatologist told me (after saying don't tell any other dermatologist I told you this but...) that moderate sun exposure was beneficial. Cleared my folliculitis right up, as well as a nagging yeast infection in my crotch--without having to take lots of pills. Given that vitamin D deficiency is so common--esp in HIVers--we should try to get some sun on a regular basis. Cover senstive areas like the face & top of head, but 20-30 min of sun on the arms & lower body in the mornings & afternoon can do a world of good. Get outside and have some fun.
