Guest guest
I would like to know if anyone else has found, or if their are known irregularities or abnormalities that can be traced to either the effects of long term HIV medication or as a result of the presence of the virus (even if your status is undetectable) in the Brain itself. In my case, I have been positive for 25 years, and have never been hospitalized as a direct result of my HIV infection. What has happened to me on more than one occasion this past year, could be at the very least described as 'vertigo' but with my last episode, much closer to TIA. (Transient Ischemic Attack). My neurologist has ordered both an MRI as well as an EEG, but unfortunately it will be over a month before I can be seen. Is their anything else I should be aware of or perhaps make a note about between now and then, that I should bring to his attention? Are their specific things that can be found only in the Brain of HIV patients? Am I puting myself at greater risk because of the delay? He seems to lean more towards the idea that I have had a number of 'seizures' in varying degrees, that may or may not be related to my HIV disease. Any feedback or others whom have had similar expirences, would be greatly appreciated. Signed; 'Tripping In Tucson'
