Cambridgeshire charity Red2Green has launched its new Reboot initiative which involves training people with communication difficulties in computer recycling - meeting local waste recycling targets while offering on-the-job skills and training. People with Asperger's often find it difficult to succeed in employment because of the unwritten rules of the workplace, but many are very intelligent and excel at computing because they can get to grips with the logic and processes involved. Reboot, in Sturton Street, is offering graduates of the Red2Green's Aspirations programme, which teaches people social skills and strategies for coping in everyday situations, the opportunity of work. Pete Wickham, Reboot's manager, said: " While we're doing our bit to minimise waste in the environment, we're also helping to improve the job prospects of young adults with social communication difficulties. " Red2Green runs projects providing leisure, educational and work opportunities for people with a range of disabilities.
