Hi,

I saw today an interesting video from Aditi Shankardass

http://www.ted.com/talks/aditi_shankardass_a_second_opinion_on_learning_disorder\

s.html

where she talks about a special device at Harvard used to diagnose Brain

disorders.

when you clik on the link above, here is the text to it:

" ...She explains how a remarkable EEG device has revealed mistaken diagnoses and

transformed children's lives.... "

Can someone here please explain where the difference is compared to a QEEG ?

Is it a special QEEG device ? or Is it a special software that evaluates the

wave patterns under task in real-time and make a different (i.e. functional)

representation which provides a much better and accurate information to locate

where the brain disorder is and espcially what kind of brain disorder it is ?

It sound great what she explains but I couldn't really understand the difference

to lets say a QEEG done with a Discovery EEG device and comparing the brainwave

activity against a normative database.

thanks

It is a QEEG but the difference is the software that performs the analysis,
