Guest guest
Hello, I have a colleague out of the country who is looking for a Washington NF service provider to help her nephew. The child and family live, in fact in Mill Creek, WA. Here is the story: Can anyone here help? How old is he?Turning 6 in 4 weeks Was he always a stutterer? If not, at what age, and can the family track it to any stressor? The last 2 years. It started after we saw a homeopath and he gave him a remedy with tar in it. After HE started to stutter he told us to give him something with caffein in it to neutralize the remedy. It then started to come in waves, weeks on months off, weeks on weeks off until now it is very steady with good days and bad days. Any other "tic-like" activity? Last October he started to have nervous head move ticks ( as if something is scratching his neck) and an obsessive need to smell his hands after he touched anything. At that time his stutter was also the worst. Total block, mouth open, eyes rolling back in his head. Couldn't get a word out. We then went on a extreme gluten diet. (soy sauce, Hoisen sauce, anything we could think of) It helped for a few weeks but it never went totally away, as it did when the stutter first started. P.S. Not sure if this is related but HE has had a really high fewer when he was around 18 months old. PARENTS (mother is a chiropractor) always had the feeling his whole mood/ demeanor changed after this for the worse. This was the reason we saw the Homeopath in the first place. His hearing must have been bad for a long time. It took ca. 9 months to get his ears cleared through diet. His hearing is now normal. Could it be that he gets now too much feedback through his ears that it throws of his speech? I am thinking of one of the other comments of the message board, when the guy covered his ears and spoke fluently. Thanks, Van Deusen
Guest guest
Hi -They could try Steve Rothman at Biofeedbacksolutions.com He works in Bellevue Washington. They could also try Elliot who does LENS and Neurofield. She is in downtown Seattle. Don't know her website. There is someone in Olympia as well, but that would be a long haul. There are probably others I don't know about too. Guest guest
,I would recommend Steve Rothman, in Bellevue nearby; a well-seasoned clinician. Also does qEEG if needed.steverothman@...Regards, Sitar On Tue, Mar 20, 2012 at 7:38 AM, Machado <adriancmvd@...> wrote: Hello, I have a colleague out of the country who is looking for a Washington NF service provider to help her nephew.
