Guest guest
Hello, Dn is suffering from PTSD and RAD. She has low amplitude across the spectrum. Can amplitude be increased and does low amplitude cause a decrease in ability to think rationally and problem solve? Dn is 15 years old, and we are beginning to question whether she will ever be able to live independently due to her poor executive function and problem solving skills. Naive and gullible does not begin to describe this child. Also, the nfb therapist believes dn's adrenals are exhausted. How can we support her adrenals? Guest guest
,It is important to know if the low amplitude (low voltage) type is seen across the cortex of jus at a few sites. It is also important to know what the frequency distribution is. Research on EEG phenotypes has indicated two low voltage patterns, One is low voltage fast and the other is low voltage slow. A different approach would be used depending on the frequency distribution. There are some medical tests for severe adrenal insufficiency (addison's disease) but they depend on a very low level of hormones being found. The findings of less severe adrenal problems are usually inferred by symptoms and perhaps history. I would suggest a consultation with a qualified nutritionist to see about dietary and supplement support. Here are links to 2 websites that talk about EEG phenotypes.http://www.bmedreport.com/archives/2383http://qeegsupport.com/transcend-the-dsm-using-phenotypes/On Mar 29, 2012, at 8:01 AM, onemom22boys wrote:Hello,Dn is suffering from PTSD and RAD.
