Guest guest
I WATCH AND LEARN. Thanks for all the good work you continue to do for our community. I find myself in Ft Laud. I went to CARE and was given an appt for a phone contact, after giving my medicare card and supp ins card to be copied by receptionist. I received the call the following Monday and they informed me that they no longer accept medicare. I explained all I need are referrals to support groups and doctors. I contacted Broward House and I am supposed to send them my bloodwork and then I will receive a packet from them and then perhaps an appt. I asked if they accept medicare, they refused to answer any of my questions. Broward /county has the tenth largest infected community in the USA. There is no AIDS listing in the phone book. I am the channel op on an hov chat and I tell newbies all the time to contact their local AIDs agencies and now I see that after two decades it is really as impossible as they say and they are not being resistant to my suggestions. I am flabbergasted. I need Support, Referrals, and maybe a nice gay man to take me out for a drink or a movie? I need an Infectious Disease person, and a vascular specialist for the edema I am having. What is going on in the Broward County Gay Community and why is it so closeted???? What about the psychoneuroimmunologists (shrinks for immunocompromised ppl)? Sheesh Please someone talk to me, I have some transportation and have difficulty ambulating. I HAVE AIDS IN BROWARD COUNTY & I NEED SUPPORT Thanks folks.
