Guest guest
Pete, How do I best train SMR coherence UP in the sensory motor cortex? I have slightly high coherence in the beta range but low in SMR. Can I use your new multiband coherence DOWN protocol and switch the low beta threshold to INCREASE? And do I have to adjust the frequency band to my SMR range? Also, is / can it be useful to increase coherence for low frequencies on the midline if the synchrony page in the TLC7 suggest that it is low, for example between Cz-Oz, even if the coherence on interhemispheric sites like c3-c4, p3-p4, etc is normal or high? Thanks, Rogier
Guest guest
Rogier,My first question would be, what do you hope to achieve by training this? Just because a number looks " low " on the assessment doesn't mean that training it will change anything. If your SMR levels are very low and if you are having physical control issues, impulsivity, fine or gross-motor coordination or other physical concerns, then train up SMR (and train down whatever is high). If those aren't issues for you, then I wouldn't worry much about this. If you really want to train it, I guess using Multiband Coherence Down and changing from Decrease to Increase.Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@... http://www.brain-trainer.comUSA 678 224 5895BR 47 3346 6235The Learning Curve, Inc.
