Guest guest
There were several issues that led us to drop the pIR.I still have and use both, and my impression has been that they do much the same thing. However the implementation of pIR with the Pendant frankly was kind of spotty. I never figured it out, but some clients would run an unchanging line regardless of what they did, others would go up and up regardless of what they did. Sometimes the training worked beautifully, but I was never figure out why it did sometimes and not others. Jeff Carmen, the developer of pIR, changed his explanation of what was happening and what you expected to see a number of times, and it got harder for me to try to explain to trainers. When Jeff began selling his unit, and he raised the price for the headband, I was comfortable suggesting that if people really wanted to do pIR, getting his system from him made more sense. I like nIR because it tends to be very responsive to focus. I like to train with a graph, and I find that clients can figure out very quickly what it is they have to do, and they can see how their brain is responding to training over time. Guest guest
Thanks Pete. I don't know if this have to do with it, but something is wrong with my pirheg pendant. I have to hold the pendent upright with my hand for the graph to start moving. If I set the pendant aside or hang it on my shirt it would stop functioning. > > > ** > > > > > > I noticed brain-trainer doesn't sell pirheg anymore only nirheg. Is there > > a reason why? Guest guest
That's the symptom of a short-circuit somewhere. If you have the older Pendant with the 9-volt batteries, the problem is commonly somewhere in the connection of the battery wire inside the unit. If you know someone who is comfortable with electronics, they should be able to track down the short and probably re-solder it. There is also now a US address where you can send the Pendant for repairs (best to check with them first). Guest guest
But wouldn't a short-circuit causes Bioexplorer to indicated that the pendent is offline. Mine still indicated that it's still connected. Thanks. > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > I noticed brain-trainer doesn't sell pirheg anymore only nirheg. Is > > there > > > > a reason why? Guest guest
Yes, it probably would give you sync errors or a blinking back and forth between connected and connecting. As I suggested, try contacting Ariane@... for support from PN. It could easily be the headband as well. Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...http://www.brain-trainer.comUSA 305 433 3160BR 47 3346 6235 The Learning Curve, Inc.
