I am not going to risk my health for $7.00 an hour! Picking up dead bodies would be a creepier job, though, like you said, Marta, no backtalk! You don't want to drain yourself .....LOL. Have you tried a temp agency for a job? I know a lady here who gave out samples for grocery stores during the holidays and it was an easy job. Does the telemarketing thing have a comission? If it were me, I'd deliver pizza first. Good tips this time of year and taxable income is low. in Bama http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html VBG to RNY revision 1996-Failed Rny to Ds revision 12/06/02 Down111lbs!! They usually put on " seasonal " help starting about now through April 15. Jerry

But working in a smoke environment would really really bother me...especially if I hated what I was doing. With your asthma it would just be stupid to keep working in that much smoke...you'd get sick and it would cost you tons more than you were making. Ann is there not a Mcs, Taco Bell, Fast Food something around? put in your applications...it can't be worse and they are used to hiring new folks into the work force....and if you have to leave after a couple months to have surgery...so be it. Yeah, it had a commission, but I am still feeling the effects of the smoke on my lungs this morning. I am raspy, too. I'll keep looking for that temp job. I like the idea of looking at a temp agency! Hi Jo, Part of my problem is my back. I have to find a position with no lifting and where I can sit when the pain gets too bad. I kind of thought the fast food thing would cause me a lot of pain, so I wasn't looking in that market. I am thinking temp agency (thanks ), H & R Block (clerical) (thanks Jerry) and that sort of thing. Easier on my poor body. Guest guest
Hi All, This is a continuing sage of strange positivity! I have another job, just got it today, unfortunately it is unpaid... Positively it is writing for a local newspaper (clips, clips, clips)! This really is a step in the direction that I have been trying to take. So, I feel great about this. I'll be working as a " stringer " which means I can or not accept assignments when they come up AND I will get a byline (ever so important for a writer). So, if I can get a writing job (meeting with the editor tomorrow), the money has to be out there somewhere...I just have to find it! Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue to pray that I am guided in my search for PAID employment in my chosen profession. Hugs and blessings, Ann

Please don't take hangups personally- it's not 'you' they are hanging up on. Now if I could figure how to discontinue the enlarge your penis ads on the computer. I'd be happier. Betsy Re: Anns job Well, Ann, I thought you were driving the van picking up dead bodies from the local hospital(s). That is a good job, no backtalk. Guest guest
Congratulations Ann! That's wonderful! Yes, it would be better if it were paid but there's nothing like seeing your name in print on an article! I know that feeling and it's a good one. Hugs!
