Guest guest
Well, all your well-wishes and prayers must've worked, because I made it through the first day... by the skin of my teeth. I was so tired and my knees hurt so bad about 3/4 through my day that I thought I'd just sit down and cry. Instead, I popped 2 more ibuprofen and soldiered on. By the time I got home, I could barely get myself out of the car (and I don't remember those 2 steps into my house ever being so high!) I'd thought I'd run a hot tub and soak, but then when I pictured having to get UP out of the tub, I just took the coward's way out and got straight into bed (and took a Flexoril). Hey Doc Marta: the ibuprofen barely did anything for the pain. Any suggestions of what OTC or combination of OTCs will do the best for the pain in my knees, feet and leg muscles? I only have a couple more Flexorils left, and I wouldn't want to take them during the day anway, so any help would REALLY help! I may still be sore and tired this morning, but even more so, I am proud of myself for all the walking I did yesterday. Actually, I'm surprised at all the walking I could do yesterday! However, I'm not looking forward to today... because I'm starting out at a debit and I doubt it'll get easier this fast. I'm hoping that a week or two from now my legs'll be used to things and I'll stop whining about 'em. (I bet my hubby and sis are hoping that, too!) Thanks again, everybody, for sending all the good luck wishes my way! Holiday Huggles, rissatoo@... DS - Dr. Keshishian 06/04/02: 424.5 lbs 68.4 bmi 12/09/03: 216.0 lbs 34.9 bmi -208.5 lbs, + a life! Any > suggestions of what OTC or combination of OTCs will do the best for > the pain in my knees, feet and leg muscles? , you can mix ibuprofen and tylenol if you have to. A better way might be to use just a touch of vicodin, like half a regular strength tablet, with ibuprofen. That is what I do when I have severe pain and it works wonders. That is if you have some on hand, of course. Marta

If it's knees or joints, flexeril will > just make you sleepy and not do much for the pain as it > is a muscle relaxer. Thanks hon... I knew that about the flexeril, but believe me, the muscles REALLY needed the relaxing! The muscles above my knees in front, and in my calves are so tight and sore... it reminds me of when I was in middle school and did a half marathon... without properly stretching beforehand. *sigh* We sure can be stupid about our bodies when we're young, huh? Well, I think I will stop at the Rite-Aid on the way to work and pick up some Orudis (and maybe Aleve, too... just to be safe!) Thanks a ton!
