Guest guest
Humana Inc. (HUM) is teaming with discount retail giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) to offer a low-cost Medicare prescription-drug plan nationwide, a move that could bolster the health insurer's market share, bring more business to Wal-Mart pharmacies and ignite price competition among Medicare drug-plan providers. The companies will sell the co-branded plan next year at a monthly premium of $14.80, which Humana said Friday is the lowest premium for standalone Medicare prescription-drug plans being offered nationally for 2011.
