Hi Kym!

I, too, dropped right back to my lowest weight skipping sugar, concentrating

on protein and veggies (and lower carb bread, and 1-2 servings of fruit). I

do feel better, to and am having fewer " potty " issues. My body is sooooo happy

to be back to good eating! It was certainly sick of sweets (I wonder if I am

changing after all)? I hope to get lower than my lowest weight before my

hernia repair/tummy tuck.

I am really hungry, though, which I put down to the cold, cold, cold weather!

I'm glad to hear you are doing so well!

Hugs and blessings, Ann

January 2nd was my day to start, too, Kym. I thought I would start on Jan.

1, but realized that wasn't going to work.

If someone were to take away my salt shaker, I would curl up and cry for a

million years! I have to have SALT -- or I couldn't do this...

I'm embarassed to say that I haven't started yet. I ate liver and onions for

supper t a restaurant ( sprang for dinner!!) then 4 hrs later ate

tacos....It's the late night stuff that gets me. If I just ate what I eat during

the

day, I'd be fine. BUT after 8pm it's like open season on the fridge..... I

think I'm gonna move the bike back in here and when I want to eat, try riding

it. Or maybe ride it while eatimng ....LOL. At least it would help!!!

BTW, I tried on a pair of 's size 20's....they fit!! they do run

big though. My fat tail won't fit into Tom's pants yet though. (38 or 40)

Hey Kym,

So after 5 days of low carbing you are at the bottom of your bounce

range? or have you been low carbing since christmas?

I was just thinking about you yesterday - we were looking through

last years christmas pics from friends - and there you were " hiding "

behind the kids, but this year in your skinny black pants you are

fully exposed! Ain't it great to not have to hide behind the kiddos?

You look fantastic!!!

I am so weak willed. I am over the top of my comfort bounce range and

can't seem to get a grip. I start out with good intentions each

day ... just like I used to! Maybe I can give it a 5 day commitment.

My 8's are snug and I will be darned if I am going to go buy 10's!

Helpful hints and flat out nasty advice welcomed!! LOL!

No killing and no freakin' pepsi!!! How bout finding a

substitution? It wont be as good for awhile... but it might help.

Maybe some Diet Sprite??

Low carbing since January 2nd. The bottom of my range is 200.5

<sigh seen for ONE DAY!). The top of my range during Christmas was

209. Im currently at 205.

Thanks for the compliments.... I still feel fat. Im working on that

though... I'm really beginning to recognize that my body image is

more warped then I thought it was.

The key for me is planning this out. If you are doing five days,

plan all your meals and buy LOTS of snacks. I've bought lots of low

carb stuff... salty things and meat things and protein and even low

carb chocolate.

I'll support ya anyway I can! You know I am a fellow junk food

lover!!!

Love,

didn't even drink 1/3 of that diet sprite....just hate diet

drinks....oh well I need more water anyway....

BRAT! lol...notice I'm only commited to the month of January!!!

Just needed to cut down.

One thing I haven't done....kicked up the exercise. That being

because I got sick...I'm much better but still have a bit of a

cough....Hopefully later this week I'll feel like jumping in

there....I really, really do feel better when I'm exercising and

because of the holidays and being ill I haven't done any for 2

weeks.....need to at least walk tomorrow.....yep...gotta at least

walk.

Well, I'm trying to stay away from mostly carbs...that was my diet

before. Been focusing on protein. I've gone back to doing 2 protein

shakes a day the past couple days and the scale has dropped 2-3 lbs.

(I guess that's one thing I can be grateful for that the " tool " of

the RNY can still work for me after all this time if I use it

right.) I still indulge on a couple treats a day, but now I'm eating

a handful of junk instead of a bagful. I'm also really putting forth

effort to get in all my calcium every day.

That's my update.

Oh Jo, I feel your pain....although a soft steak taco sounds soooo

good, with Ice Tea of course.

How are you doing? I had to start over starting yesterday.

I had a grand ole time during the holidays after my check up and now

am paying for it. I did my shake for breakfast yesterday, chicken -

just chicken- for lunch and a shake for dinner. Just to kick start

my mind and body. Today is day one...for this week I am giving up

bread.....

Here we go again...but it is sooooo worth it.

Thanks Ann,

good luck with yours too. Wish I could say it was easy,,,but then if

my wishes counted, I would wish that we didnt have to worry about

this at all and could eat all day, and what we wanted...lol

Hi Kym!

Sorry I'm responding so late to this but I've been low-carbing it

since the New Year, too. I haven't touched any donuts, regular

bread, pastries, or bagels. I've been eating Henry's low carb bread

(not bad when it's toasted), low-carb tortillas (not great but

edible and actually pretty good as quesadillas), lots of veggies,

lots of cheese, soy meat products, and lots of water. I do have the

occasional chocolate and I don't worry about the sugar because I'm

doing this more to stop the gas than lose weight and it's actually

working pretty darn well for the gas issues! Yay! The neat thing

is that I AM losing weight. I don't know what it is in pounds but

my tape measure tells me I'm progressing nicely. My tummy is so

much happier with me now that I've cut down on the carbs, that I

don't think I'll ever go back to eating high carb again. I've never

been able to eat much fruit since surgery because it gives me the

runs real bad. But, once in a while I can have a bite or two

without any problems.

I'm so glad this is working for you! And it assures that you get

enough protein in which is always a good thing.
