Maintence therapy keeps the viral load from going to high and gives the liver a chance to heal a little .

well that is a serious surgery Liz but many ppl have it done and do quite fine afterwards,, I hope that if you should need to have the valve replaced, it will be successful so you can get that problem settled.. They thought had MVP and he was on a beta blocker for years,, but when he had my doc in oregon re-evaluate it, they found that he did not have it at all.. so he was able to stop the meds..but maybe you can treat yours with meds for a while??elizabethnv1 <elizabethnv1@...> wrote: I am sorry I haven't updated everyone here yet about my echo results . I have been on a beta blocker for awhile to increase the strength of the heart beats for over a yr
