Guest guest
, if worse comes to worse and it was me, I would take a warm blanket and sleep outside for a few days. It can't be that cold where you live. When I lived in California years ago, I slept outside whenever I could. You should be able to hide yourself in some way so noone can see you for a few days if you don't have a deck or pourch. I know it is a little unnerving to have a fat palmeto crawl across your face, but it isn't harmful LOL. I understand your situation as I was in the same mess years ago because I was too sick to work. This country is the worlds worst when it comes to trying to find a place to put your body if you don't have any money. Just a thought. Guest guest
, I would call your local police or sheriff and see if you can get at least a temporary restraining order. If they cannot help you, I'd contact these California-based activist organizations: Pesticide Action Network North America 49 St., Suite 500 San Francisco, CA 94102 phone: (415) 981-1771 fax: (415) 981-1991 Californians for Pesticide Reform: http://www.pesticidereform.org/article.php?list=type & type=55 At the right side of this page, there's a pull-down menu for contacting the chapter in your own county. They might know of local laws; I'm sure someone has dealt with issues similar to yours. Good luck. Please keep us posted. Guest guest
, The police can't get into your house without a search warrant, you think that your apartment manager has more power ? I would tell her that everybody entering the apartment without permission will be shot. I think that is even within the laws of the USA, considering the fact that apparently your life and health are at stake. Cheers, DCH Pls Help! Will ozone get rid of pesticide or make it worse ?? Guest guest
Dirk, since when do any of us U.S. citizens have rights anymore??? This must be something new~~~~ Next thing you know, we will hear she was arrested for asserting her rights. Not so sure I would do that if I were sick. You need to be a little more careful not to end up in jail where you would die for sure. I would rather go crawl in a hole than deal with the law anymore. It may be that God in His great wisdom is not allowing me to get well because I would otherwise be out there fighting to the death for the old constitution and someone would shoot me for not shuting my mouth LOL. There is a program coming up on TV soon about how the U.S. has more people in prison and more crowded prisons than any other country in the world. Maybe a lot of them are illegals, but that ain't all of the problem! Anyway, point of this message is be careful who you fight with if you don't have a lot time, health, money and influence. Poor health changes things too because you can't afford to get stressed either, and landlords can always find another excuse to make someone move if they don't like you. Just another point of view. Guest guest
Hi , In BC in Canada, where I live, if the landlord gives you 24 hours notice, he can come into your apartment to do almost anything no matter how you feel about it. It is their building and they are just renting you space. You can't interfere with that. Not sure what it is like where you live, however, look and see if you have a landlord/tenants group that might be able to tell what you can do. But other than that, I think you need to be looking for somewhere else to sleep for a couple nights... If my health was as fragile as yours, I would be scrounging the money to stay at the Y or something for a couple of nights. Oh and when you leave your apartment, turn on your ozone generator and let it run while you are gone. Good luck, Sherri-Lee Pls Help! Will ozone get rid of pesticide or make it worse ?? Guest guest
, Can you get a note from your doctor indicating that you are chemically sensitive? That might be enough to stop them or at least get them to try something that is non-toxic. We live in a house that we own which is in a develoment. The development association has contract with the county health dept. to spray for mosquiotos a number of times during the warm months. We were able to at least get them to stop spraying at least 300 feet all around starting from the property line. Perhaps a doctor's note will suffice to intimidate the apt. manager. You might want to contact a lawyer or the city govt. to see if there are any regulations that can help you. Good luck, Dirk Chardet <chardetalvares@...> wrote: , The police can't get into your house without a search warrant, you think that your apartment manager has more power ? Guest guest
Steph, in 2005 95% of the felony warrants served by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept were for illegal aliens. In Dallas, TX the hospital that JFK was taken to when he was shot is in danger of being shut down because in that same time frame, 75% of the babies born in that hospital were to illegals that walked in, dropped the kid and walked out. Illegals for sure aren't the whole problem, but definitely a huge part. Here in S.W. Florida, we are so inundated that the public schools are about to collapse under the weight of the illegals. We're graduating a generation of dummies because the curriculum has to be dumbed-down for people who can't or won't speak the language.
