Guest guest
We have been to Cinci before-for rheumatology-but really liked what we found there- from this list is currently living in Cinci as Conner will begin his chemo for bone marrow transplant tomorrow or Monday. There are many things to do there and in the immediate area-they do have an excellent zoo-and it is very close to the hospital-I know when we were there they even offered us free tickets to the zoo. There is also Newport Aquarium right across the Kentucky state line and Kings Island is the big amusement park, They are alo home to the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. I have heard of Dr. Bleesing-when Maddie gets worse he will be our next step-but have not heard of the other-not that they are not good-just have not heard of them. As for the NK cell issues-Maddie has very low NK Cell-almost non existent-and it is my understanding that there is really not much that can be done-I think other than bone marrow transplant-but I could be wrong. We still do not get IvIg-we are still able to treat with prophylactic antibiotics-we have low IgG, low subclass 2 & 3, no IgA, nk cell defect....we still have to break out the big antibitoics every so often-but so far so good! Becky in In-mom to Maddie, age 11-about to start Middle school (YIKES!), IgA def, low IgG, subclass 2 & # def, nk cell defect, asthma, gerd, ulcers, lots of ear and nose issues.....and a milk allergy
